‘Copper Skin’ is a project that explores the way the copper metal during its oxidation process produces a unique green on its surface and this results in a form of epidermis of the metal. This for me has a lovely poetic narrative: a kind of phoenix resurgence: the oxide rather than recalling deterioration and decay becomes beauty to the eye and is also a protective ‘skin’ to the copper.
