Horizon + 30

About this EXHIBITION:

“The exhibition will be collective, thirty works by artists who have exhibited in the gallery and have created works especially for this occasion.

It has been difficult to select the artists, among all those who have exhibited at Horizon. We would have liked to invite many more, but accessibility, space and diversity have been the criteria for selection.

The participating artists are:

Àlex Nogué, Jaume Amigo, Silvia Lerin, Enrique Brinkmann, Enric Ansesa, Takesada Matsutani, Gabriel, Rafa Forteza, Arranz Bravo, Natasha Lebedeva, Xavier Escribà, David Samblanet, Yoshi Zenitani, Philippe Soussan, Andre Martus, Ferran Gimenez, Steve Silver, Kate Van Houten, Yoon-Hee, Genia Chef, Victor Ramirez, Ralph Bernabei, Jordi Alcaraz, Hiro Matsuoka, Bernard Borgeaud, Sabine Friesicke, James Klosty, Peter Downsbrough, Buzz McCall, Riera i Arago.

The gallery has commissioned the sculptor Gabriel to create a 30-year commemorative sculpture for the occasion. A limited edition will be made (11 pieces + 3 P.A.) cast in aluminium, produced at the Foneria Art Buxadé i Campanes in Banyoles.

Thirty years ago, Silvy Wittevrongel, a Belgian gallery owner, and Ralph Bernabei, an artist born in New York, arrived in the town of Colera, Alt Empordà. It could be said that we have taken root in this place, but in reality our life is a continuous journey.“
